LEADER OF LEARNING – Science and Technology

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic and visionary Leader of Learning to join the school at the start of an exciting new chapter as it becomes the flagship Welsh medium All Age School in Montgomeryshire, North Powys. This school is in the market town of Llanfair Caereinion, in a beautiful rural area of Mid Wales, eight miles from Welshpool and within an hour's drive from Aberystwyth.

Estyn, in its core report, April 2024, states that Ysgol Bro Caereinion 'is a welcoming school community where pupils are treated with respect. Nearly all pupils behave very well in lessons and around the school buildings. They engage positively in their learning’.

• be an effective communicator, able to lead, motivate and support staff and pupils alike to give of their best in all that they do
• encourage and support pupils to be independent and ambitious pupils, creating an environment which inspires each pupil to achieve their full potential in all aspects of their learning and development throughout the school.
• foster and maintain close partnership working with all stakeholders and the community- including pupils, staff, parents, governors, cluster schools, business, and other relevant organisations – for the benefit of the school and pupils
• demonstrate a commitment to achieving Ysgol Bro Caereinion's Welsh language vision
