About the role: The role requires an individual with experience with working with young people in a residential setting with the ability to lead a shift and take responsibility of all aspects of the young people’s needs and staffing support when on shift. We are seeking a calm and organised individual that has the core values of meeting the young persons needs and assisting in developing an exciting new team within a Therapeutic children’s home. A minimum of a level 3 in Health and Social Care with young people or other relevant qualification according to Social Care Wales. The home runs of two different shift patterns as follows:1 full 15 hour day and a sleep in with 2 days of. Or 2 full 15 hour days with sleep in and four days off, both patterns equate to meeting a minimum of 158 hours per month and hours that go above this can be submitted as overtimeAbout you: - Skills in understanding ACE and how to manage and support young people - Ability to manage staff members of your shift ensuring they feel safe and secure.- Correct and accurate recording within the home, and understanding and knowledge and young people’s plans and paperwork.- A strong passion for helping young people in need- An ability to build supportive relationships with young people and staff team - Good knowledge of CIW expectations and National Minimum standards for Residential Care.- Must hold a Full UK driving licence and minimum age of 22.What you will do:- Lead a full shift, supporting 3 young people and 3 residential care workers . - Supervisions for staff you are leading. - Assist the deputy manager in rotas, young people’s plans, House paperwork.- Support staff in creating a structured and nurturing environment for young people. - Follow Policies and procedures for the home inlining with regulation from CIW and Social Care Wales.If you have any questions about the role, please contact:Deputy Manager Teri Short ( Email Teri.short@powys.gov.uk ) (07811799907)
