We are looking to recruit highly motivated and committed individuals who can make a positive difference to children, young people and families in Powys and a great opportunity to work with us is currently available.
It’s an exciting time to join Powys with a dedicated and supportive Senior Leadership Team. The service has adopted the strengths-based Signs of Safety approach along with a strong focus on the voice of the child and early help and family support.
As a Social Worker in the Assessment Team you will part of a small, friendly, close and supportive team that benefits from regular reflective supervision. Part of the role is to undertake Wellbeing Assessments and Section 47’s, with an opportunity to undertake direct work with children and their families with the Signs of Safety model. Benefits include lower manageable caseloads, market supplement, 9 day fortnight, excellent training and career development opportunities, and flexible working to manage your own diary.
Social Workers are only required to be based in the office on duty days where they will be supported by another team member. The Assessment Team Social Workers benefit from having additional support of allocated Team Co-ordinators.
We offer great employee benefits including excellent rates of pay, relocation package, lease car scheme and flexible working patterns.
If you feel you have the values, skills and behaviours to improve the lives of people in Powys, then we would love to hear from you.
