An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker in the Countywide Adult Disability Team. We would like to hear from you If you are interested in working in partnership with people, their families, carers and supporters, and want to be part of team that is forward-thinking, supportive and uses a strengths-based approach to support people to achieve positive outcomes.
The post is for 22.2 hours per week and although case work will be primarily based around South-Powys, the work-base is negotiable. Flexible working arrangements are available, and we are happy to have informal discussion with you to give more information and consider your needs. We welcome applications from newly qualified social workers and those who will be qualifying in 2022 and offer an excellent Consolidation programme for newly qualified social workers and for the First 3 Years In Practice, which includes Mentoring. We encourage and welcome applications from Welsh-speaking social workers.
A lease Car scheme is in operation and the Council offers an attractive relocation package to social workers wishing to move to and work in Powys.
We are looking for a social worker who will be enthusiastic and creative, committed to a collaborative approach with individuals and agencies to promote well-being and to safeguard and promote independence, and who will focus on what matters to people who are seeking support. We believe that by exploring people’s goals and aspirations, their strengths, and networks of support, we can help people to stay independent for longer and connected to their communities.
If you hold the same values and ethos, we would like to hear from you; we are a dynamic service working towards achieving the best outcomes for all who we support. If you are successful, you will become part of a Countywide team where you will be valued, receive support, high quality supervision and peer reflection, along with excellent opportunities to continue your professional development.
